Full Moon Night Swim
June 15 @ 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM PDT
Everyone loves these swims! They’re enjoyable because there typically aren’t any other boats on the water, it’s gorgeous to watch the moon rise over SF and swim along with the current.
This swim is for all experienced open water swimmers (not beginners). This swim is a current assisted swim that occurs with a building flood.
As with all of our Full Moon swims, space is limited! Register early.
The duration of the swim is 1 to 1-1/4-hours and covers about 2.5-miles. We’ll be jumping just as the moon is rising over San Francisco’s city lights. We welcome skin and wetsuit swimmers alike.
If you prefer, you’re welcome to end your swim early if the water temp is too low at this point in the season (56ºF +/- expected).
FYI, breast stroke swimmers cannot usually keep up with most front crawl swimming pods, so if you want to breaststroke this course, let’s setup a bespoke/custom swim for you and do this Thursday or Saturday night ($225/pp)…
LAST APRIL’S SWIM VIDEO:
We provide head and waist lights for all swimmers, direction, support, and transport to/from the marina. We coordinate with the USCG and maintain communication with them throughout the swim, as always.
WHAT TO BRING
Bring yourself, swim ready to marina, a towel, hot tea/water, swim cap, goggles, and a backup pair of goggles. NOTE: TINTED GOGGLES NOT ALLOWED on night swims! If you require vision corrected goggles, please be sure to bring them as you will be required to sight to ensure you’re going the right direction…
