MARATHON SWIM #6A and 6B, 2-Hours
This is a twist on a fun bridge to bridge swim…
We’ll be starting at Needles, that big rock between the North Tower of the Golden Gate Bridge and Horseshoe Cove where the currents are funky and interesting.
The duration of the swim is at least 2-hours and covers approximately 6.5 to 7-miles. We’ll be jumping just as the flood begins and make our way to the first waypoint, North Alcatraz.
The second leg is a push across the flood to Echo Tower of the Bay Bridge. From there, if time permits, we’ll wrap around Yerba Buena Island, under the new Bay Bridge Span and into Clipper Cove between Treasure Island and YBI.
Skin and wetsuit swimmers alike are welcome on this swim. Water temperature should be 55ºF and if you’d like, you’re welcome to end your swim early if one hour is too much at this point in the season. This swim is for all experienced open water swimmers (not beginners) with average + speed. Although it’s a current assisted swim, they’ll be some challenge in a few areas. Space if limited.
As a courtesy, this swim has been discounted 20% from our normal rate of $150/pp.
