A Father/Daughter Alcatraz

This video showcases a meaningful moment between a father and daughter, both sharing a passion for open water swimming. It highlights how quickly children grow up and the importance of cherishing shared experiences. The footage captures a significant morning, emphasizing the joy and bond of family swimming and preserving a special memory in their relationship.

Does Mary Still Have It?

Join Mary Cantini, a vivacious 75-year-old member of the SF Dolphin Club, as she explores to discover if she still possesses the aquatic prowess of her younger years. This inspiring video chronicles Mary’s journey during her 2019 swim, revealing that age is merely a number for passion and perseverance. We’re excited to share that since this initial endeavor, Mary has joined us for several more swims, including our latest one in 2023. Witness Mary’s unwavering spirit in this captivating tale of determination!

An Alcatraz Redo…

When facing unexpectedly large swell and chop, a mulligan, or second chance, is sometimes necessary. Robert’s initial attempt at the Alcatraz Escape encountered more challenging conditions, with swell and chop exceeding what many are equipped to manage. Consequently, the course was adjusted, and a subsequent attempt was made on another day, resulting in big smiles and a sense of satisfaction.

A 12-Mile November Birthday Swim

Mike Tschantz-Hanh, a local and long-time SF Dolphin Club swimmer, had always wanted to swim to the Golden Gate from the creek near his home in Marin County, some 12 miles north of the bridge. We documented the journey. Enjoy!

Bridge to Bridge Marathon Training

Abigail Bergman drove up from Southern California with her family to tackle an ambitious marathon training swim. With the solid flood current helping us, we jumped at the Golden Gate and powered through a solid 9-mile, 3-hour swim, Bridge to Bridge. We’ve got it all on video to show you the thrills and the effort that went into it… We hope you enjoy the swim and how the video captured the event for future memories!
